TSU Balance Sheet Bash: Representing the TXCPA Society, I served as a panelist for the Balance Sheet Bash hosted by the TXCPA Houston Chapter and Texas Southern University. I engaged with over 30 accounting students regarding the transition from academia to corporate environments. Key discussion topics included career readiness, professional expectations, and long-term career positioning, helping to bridge the gap between the classroom and the accounting profession.
Also I had the opportunity to answer some of the student questions after our panel interview.

YES Prep Brotherhood/Sisterhood Summit: As a YES Prep alumna, I had the honor of speaking to over 200 seniors at the “All Power to the People” Summit. My presentation focused on navigating culture shock and the transition from high school to college.
We explored the social and emotional realities of entering unfamiliar spaces, providing students with practical tools and the confidence.
